Professor, Department of Chemistry
Dean, Office of Research and Development, Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan.
Hsiao-Ching Yang received the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, 1999 and a Ph.D. of Physical Chemistry in 2004, from National Sun Yat-Sen University. After postdoctoral research at National Taiwan University and Ohio State University, she went to Fu Jen Catholic University in 2006 as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor 2012-2019, and Full Professor 2019 ~). Dr. Yang has served as Director, Center of Research Management 2018 – 2020 and Dean, Office of Research and Development 2020~. Her main research interest is on computational chemical dynamics of complexed systems, multiscale molecular dynamics simulations and property of interfacial (internal) interactions and porous hydration structures in proteins (and polymers). Her group members utilize the knowledge gained through computational simulations to interpret structural dynamics from fluorescence lifetime methods and to develop small angle X-ray/neutron contrast variation scattering techniques for the complementary study. She received awards such as Ta-You Wu Memorial Award, Ministry of Science and Technology in Taiwan (2016), Fu Jen Catholic University Outstanding Research Award (2015), the 62nd SPSJ “Asia Excellence Award” in Japan (2013), the 42nd World Polymer Congress (Macro 2008) International Young Polymer Scientist.
